That may be an understatement. Did anyone else ever make something as rigid and dull as the Star Spangled Banner sound this cool? Ladies, here's Mr. Marvin Pentz Gaye, jr.
Takes a boatload of suave to overcome the dantesque circles of Casio drum machine-hell in the background.
Hello,
I am requesting permission to use in our department publications the photo of the man (Maurice) playing the trombone on the website at http://colouredglass.typepad.com/coloured_glass/music/index.html
The University of Wisconsin Institute on Aging is a non-profit outreach department in a world-wide recognized university. Our mission is to inform the public at large about medical and psychosocial research in the field of aging that can help people live healthier, longer lives over the lifespan. More information about our research can be found on our website at http://www.aging.wisc.edu/.
As part of our outreach efforts, we distribute bi-annual newsletters to over 2,500 individuals and hold an annual colloquium on aging with speakers, health fair, poster session, and new researcher awards. We like to include photos of diverse, active older adults in our publications and brochures from time to time, and this picture appears to be exactly what we are looking for. If you do give permission, could you please send me a high resolution copy of the photo.
Thank you for your consideration. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
