band on the run

Drummed together quite a few friends some time ago and convinced them to sign up for a 5x5k relay run, the biggest running event in Northern Europe. 70.000 people running. Not all of them were my friends, though.
But we did get 6 teams together, and in reasonable shape. Counting cheerleaders about 45 of us went and had a sweaty and enjoyable evening, probably the last summer-ish one this year.

If you like looking at people running and cheering, this site has some pictures of me and people I know doing just that. Specifically, here's me running like the wind. Or a slow breeze, at least.

why you should never underestimate old people

Here's my friend Maurice. About 5' 5" of absolute cool.

So we've been jamming a bit, and I don't really know much about him, other than he's wise and sweet and old and still very much able to play. Then this 30-something guy with a funny bone calls him out: "Hey, Rat Pack!"
And Maurice nods him off humbly: "oh no, you really can't call me rat pack, 'cause I really only played with Sammy and the guys a couple of years."

And the other guy stops talking.
