I hereby pledge to once in a while check out that funny little photobooth os x application while working late.
And when the iSight cam reveals I look like this:

hey thanks... yeah, the thing is, I'm not very good with pledges. They're always either way too easy - "I pledge to brush my teeth once in a while" - or overly ambitious, to the point where I've built in an excuse for failure. A not even in a "save the world" kind of way. That iSight pledge? I'm 0-for-1 already on that one.
But if I can think of pledges that make sense, I'll sign up ... thanks for the invite
