strange bit of advertising of the day:
If you don't speak Danish, the sign says "Waiting for snow" (even if you do
speak Danish, that's what it says). For a little shop around the corner that arranges christmas events, like flea markets.
First time I saw it I thought it was a bit silly. But I couldn't stop thinking about it all day. Just kept popping up. The jury's still out, I guess, but at gunpoint I'd vote for brilliant rather than crazy. So simple and out of place, it'll stand out among 1000 housesized billboards.
Also, it manages to get you a bit excited about winter by highlighting one of the good bits about December before snow actually arrives and we remember that snow is, well, exactly like rain except really cold. So basically, cold and wet.
But this little sign to me says hot cocoa and Disney christmas specials. Not bad with a marker pen and a bit of string.
I think it's lovely.
